Kingussie Parish Church

Linked with Laggan & Newtonmore

Leaving Kingussie behind.

We make our way towards Newtonmore, taking time to admire the beautiful scenery, always hoping to catch a glimpse of a heron feeding close by. Approaching Newtonmore  we pass the Highland Folk Museum, where many a happy hour can be spent enjoying the park’s attractions which bring to life the domestic and working conditions of early Highland life.

Continuing on past the Post Office take a quick glance up to the right where you will see Newtonmore Parish Church, St Brides, with which we enjoy a linkage.

Further on just as a bearing to the right is required stands the Clan Macpherson Museum. Presently undergoing an extensive refurbishment a provisional opening date of June 2021 is hoped for. Many interesting artefacts can be found within, giving visitors insight into the Clan system and the Macpherson Clan.

Our Church enjoys a close connection with the Clan Macpherson, renowned for promoting and fostering the Clan spirit at home and abroad. During the annual Clan Gathering in August, many attend our Sunday morning service and renew their promise to maintain their commitment to the Clan.
